When published, the novel was awarded the Prix Goncourt in 1919. 3.The Guermantes Way 4.Cities Of The Plain (Sodom and Gomorrah ) 5.The Captive 6.The Sweet Cheat Gone 7.Time Regained The novel had great influence on twentieth-century literature; some writers have sought to emulate it, others to parody it.
