They both warn him about the man with eyes like a raven who stalks the streets; he sucks the souls of the less fortunate and deposits them into the stories he writes.

The book draws Davey deeper into the forgotten world of Dickens' England, until finally Davy comes face to face with the great man himself. Can a small boy from Ohio change the heart of one of the most popular writers of the English language?
