This thesis examines work-life balance (WLB) in tourism, an industry that is usually characterized by long working hours, stress and irregular shifts. It sheds light on how these challenges affect work-life balance and which factors are crucial to achieving a balance. Through a comprehensive literature review and empirical interviews with tourism employees in Tyrol, the current conditions are analyzed and possible measures to improve work-life balance are identified. The results provide valuable insights and practical recommendations to improve the quality of life of tourism employees and thus increase the attractiveness of the industry.
