Mary was raised in a very rigid, works-oriented religion that left her feeling afraid of God and not good enough for him. God, however, came after her as an adult and grabbed hold of her, inviting her to be in relationship with him. She then learned that many of the things she had been taught about God as a child were not true. She also came to understand the difference between religion and relationship.

She then said Yes! to God's invitation, and that has made all the difference. She began to experience an inner peace and joy unlike anything she had ever experienced. This peace and joy has expanded and deepened over time as she walked with God. She wrote this book because she earnestly desires that others experience this peace and joy.

Mary lives with her husband in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.
