Barbara Adler West, J.D. has worked as an estate planning and elder attorney in the Seattle area since 1997. She graduated from The University of Connecticut with a B.A. in English in 1979, then moved to Seattle in 1982 and earned a law degree from Seattle University in 1989.


Stephen Adler left Nazi Germany in 1939 at age 8 and later emigrated with his parents and brother to Chicago. In 1951, Steve married his high school sweetheart, Judy Weinberg. He completed his schooling and earned a PhD degree in Chemistry at Northwestern University in 1954. Steve and Judy moved to Connecticut where he began a career in industrial chemical research and they raised two daughters.
