Description
In Fossett's third collection of free-verse poetry, she conjures, writes, yells, laughs, screams, and even sometimes cries "WHATEVER" to anyone who says everyone (and/or everything) has to fall into a category. She confronts stigmas associated with queerness and love between women, by chronicling her own life experiences as an educated, creative, queer and masculine-presenting, young woman of color. She reminisces on loves built and loves abandoned (familial, self, relationship-type). She speaks on self-discovery and the human condition, making this release of poetry a history record of relevant, truth. The book's cover is a combination of illustration by Gwendolyn Apacanis and title art by Kyle Baber, with color and final fusion by Justin Perkins (all local artists). At the book's end is an excerpt from Fossett's working novel entitled "Just in case the world ends." Break back the cover and see just exactly how "WHATEVER" changes the moment or mood, with its dynamic and varied intonation and delivery.
