Description

The Earth's atmosphere is the gaseous envelope of our planet and extends up to thousands of kilometres above the planet's surface. It is characterized by high dynamics, physical heterogeneity and susceptibility to biological factors. Over the billions of years in the history of the Earth's atmosphere, it was living organisms that primarily changed its composition. This work also investigates the structure and properties of Kelvin-Helmholtz waves in the atmospheric boundary layer, as well as a statistical generalization of the properties of VKG in different climatic regions. ABL acoustic remote sensing from the Earth's surface is used as the main method for wave identification and quantification of wave structure parameters. Monostatic Doppler acoustic localizers (sodars), whose echo is caused by sound scattering in the presence of small turbulent air temperature irregularities, allow visualization of the mesoscale vertical ABL structure up to a height of several hundred meters and observation of waves in the range of refractive index variations and wind speed variations.
