Her book Courage of the Heart: An American Odyssey is the true story of her husband's grandparents during the First World War. Christine has also written and illustrated a children's book, Samuel's Alphabet Zoo. In addition, she has written her memoir of growing up in Detroit, The Kids on Ford Street. She divides her time between writing, traveling, photography, art, visiting classrooms presenting science and cultural lessons, and enjoying her family.
