Yet, the Army Corps of Engineers had other things in mind for Jerry, assigning him to the Public Affairs office with duties as a congressional, media and press officer, where he remained for much of his 38-year career----"Drat! I should have studied more in English class!" Jerry retired as Director of Operations, for the Army Corps, responsible for all Corps' water infrastructure in the US, directing a workforce of 24,000.
