Tim Adams is a defense attorney and Joy Jenkins is a prosecuting attorney. Although they are on opposite sides in the courtroom, they sometimes share the same bed. Terri Brown is a judge and wants Tim for herself.

When Judge Brown finds out about Joy and Tim she is very upset. The two women have it out in the courtroom and Judge Brown even throws a shoe. Now they are both expecting Tim to defend them at the hearing.
