Description
The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will invest $2 million to link improved and intensified agricultural production to sustainable, community-based natural resource management in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The activity will introduce agro forestry and conservation farming practices that will reduce slash-and-burn agriculture, thereby reducing deforestation pressures and increasing carbon sequestration on agricultural lands.
