With the help of an advanced technology known as "Opto-genes," residents of Glass City live a pain-free and emotionally-transparent existence. However, this seemingly utopian society faces a spiritual crisis in the form of depression, or, as it's called in Glass City: Dissonance. In order to save the city, Alexis, a chronicler, is chosen to go back in time to learn just how and why Glass City was created.
