His earliest school years were spent in a bilingual school; starting 4th grade attended Belen Jesuit School where he continued until graduation from high school in 1957. In July 1960, he was awarded a Bachelor in Economics degree at Santo Tomas de Villanueva University in Havana.

Briefly arrested on February 5, 1960 during a student demonstration against Anastas Mikoyan's visit to Havana. Admitted by the University of Chicago to obtain a Master's degree in Economics, instead he decided to return to Cuba to fight the Castro regime. On November 24, 1960, he was arrested again while attempting to join the anti-Castro guerrillas in the Escambray mountains in Cuba. Convicted to 30 years in prison. Finally released on parole on September 8, 1976. Arrived in the United States with his family on August 30, 1979. Attended the University of Miami School of Law. Presently he is an attorney, member of the Florida Bar. Practices in the field of Immigration Law. He lives in Altamonte Springs, Florida

This book is a memoir of his life in three sections, which the author calls Worlds. The first, his childhood and youth until he is arrested and sent to prison for his activities against the Castro regime. The second, his experiences inside several prisons in Cuba, his marriage and his release. The third, starts with the return to the United States, his life in Miami until 1991, including the Law School years. He moved to the Orlando area in 1991 and practices Immigration Law up to the present time.
