William Leonard Ball, known to his family and friends as Bill was born 8th July 1929. He went to Addison Gardens school, Hammersmith, London. At the age of ten he won a scholarship to one of London's top schools The Upper Latimer.

In 1947 he joined the RAF and then 77 Squadron. He did twelve years service stationed at many different air bases. He was a personal fitter to Air Chief Marshall Sir John Baker on Devon V.P.975. He was also on The Berlin Airlift from June 1948 to June 1949.

Bill met his beloved Flo on New Years Eve 1950, she was 15 he was 21. Flo was the love of his life.
They married 18th December 1954. They had a son Peter and a daughter Christine, 5 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. They had a wonderful life together. Bill sadly passed away 23rd May 2019 and Flo passed away 25th May 2019, a beautiful end to a beautiful love story.
