The Civilian Conservation Corps, or CCC, was a New Deal program that provided work for three million forced into unemployment by the Great Depression. During its existence from 1933 to 1942, the CCC men fought pestilence, forest fires and soil erosion in addition to opening our national and state parks to the public. It is hoped that through these pages the reader will learn what it was like to live in that time, to find hope and in the CCCs, to work in its camps, live in its barracks, make friends in its ranks, and feel a pride in its accomplishments. Volume III contains the information of men with last names beginning with the letters Q to Z.
