Follow their story as Lucien's son Luzare carries on the family business and continues making it one of the most successful plantations in Costa Rica. His first wife Esmeralda provides him with three children, giving her life to give their last, Victor, his own. Loneliness gradually brings another woman into his life, as well as the births of two beautiful girls who bring a mixture of excitement and pleasure, but also unhappiness as he finds them losing their way as they begin making families of their own. One of his daughters, Margarita, travels to the United States to go to school and get her away from a disappointing (for the parents) relationship. This move however, provides even more issues to arise, threatening all the hopes Luzare has worked for. Margarita's time in America sees her moving from Los Angeles to New Orleans and finally to Atlanta where her ultimate destiny lies. The adventures that follow her as she finds life and love are pit with dreams and disappointing failures. Ultimately finding her way back home to Costa Rica and the sadness that awaits her there.
