With this Festschrift we bring to this teacher and friend a richly multicolored bouquet of theological contributions, all of which convey an echo of Lochman's theological message. Frank Macchia and Paul Chung, who were among Lochman's leading students at Basel, have collected the essays of this volume. These essays reveal the ecumenical interests of inter-confessional ecumenical dialogue, the social interest of a vigorous Christian ethic, and the human interest in a humane culture, interests affirmed in various ways in Lochman's theology.
