Description
The Wee Nee Volunteers of South Carolina were a part of Hagood's 1st Infantry Regiment. They began the war in South Carolina, then transferred to Virginia, surrendering at Appomattox. This original volume was first published in the Southern Historical Society Papers, Vol. 16 (1888), pgs. 139-94. We have added the roster for this company from Alexander S. Salley, Jr., South Carolina Troops in Confederate Service and a list of the Appomattox Parolees from The Appomattox Roster.
