Following on from 'An English Custom' we return to the village of Stonely in the early 1950s, home of the Duke, his bastard half brother and their equally illegitimate son Timothy. Dust had settled and thickened on the history books but someone had opened a new bottle of Quink and was already squeezing the bladder of their fountain pen. Robert 'Bob' Millwood would leave a bigger man but at a cost. Clifford as always turned a quick profit at the Inn whilst Shirley allowed her charms to lead their natural way forward.
