One factor, perceived usefulness had a significant impact on usage of Web 2.0 tools. The study also observed educators' understanding of the usefulness of Web 2.0 tools for teaching and learning. Therefore, the study examined the status in terms of Web 2.0 technology tools in two private, South African higher education institutions (Monash South Africa and Pearson Institute of Higher Education) in Gauteng.
