Medieval and modern philosophers contributed to the reformulation of this Aristotelian logic in the investigation of natural phenomena, such as Thomas Aquinas and Francis Bacon. Philosophy presents itself as a rational basis for the formulation of the scientific method, which means that Geography, which studies nature, needs to base its categories on the study of empirically investigated natural phenomena, whose inductive method is one of the main ways to get closer to the object of study and produce a brand new science based on the diversity of landscapes and objects.
