This work proposes an approach to the teaching of Chinese Language at the Confucius Institute of the University of Havana and in other areas of the University itself. The main antecedents of the teaching of Chinese Language in Havana, the essential elements of the organization of the teaching process, the Impact of the Study Plan, the different research and postgraduate projects in which the research work of the Institute is inserted and the cultural projects that stimulate the learning of the Chinese language are exposed. Some characteristics of the teaching of this language to university students inserted in career programs and the challenges imposed by its teaching are outlined.
