In her later years, the writing has taken precedence. She always has time, though, for church work and fellowshipping with her family. She also enjoys reading, music, painting, needlework, and gardening. She has a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo. She is currently living in Arkansas on the farm and in the house where she grew up.
