In this connection, the problem of studying the impact of regional media and their functioning in the "new conditions" (globalization (globalization, regionalization, fragmentation of the regional space). The book considers the problem of the press' influence on the public opinion in the context of the mass media strategic activities. Based on the complex typological analysis, the author describes the system of publications in a specific region for the first time; in this regard, the problems and prospects of the local press development have been identified; the most effective forms and methods of media systems impact on the public opinion have been revealed; the management models of media activities, under which the impact on the public opinion is most effective and which can be used as a tool for analyzing any printed media, defining its tactical and strategic objectives, have been designed and described It is possible to use the results of the study at faculties and departments of journalism, as well as in the development of recommendations for employees of regional media on making adjustments to the concepts of local editions.
