Description

Some people think that slavery ended with the abolition of the slave trade but sadly it didn't. All over the world children go missing. Sometimes they run away from home. Others are kidnapped, sold or abused. Some are even killed. This is the story of Martin Mandela, a Zimbabwean refugee. He runs away from his home and survives as part of a gang on the streets of Johannesburg. He is a good friend and hero and has several adventures before being befriended by Sister Louisa, an Irish missionary who takes him to the United Kingdom, where he is able to live in safety. He never forgets the past and the traumas that have shaped him, and when a little African girl goes missing in London he becomes suspicious. Together with his friend Jenny, a fellow refugee from their homeland, Zimbabwe they manage to rescue Rachel and save her and two other girls from the horrors of child trafficking. The story is based on true events and real children. The names have been changed.
