Description
In the Congolese audiovisual media, journalists have practically turned the practice of "coupage" into a culture. Politicians, businessmen and other social actors do not find anything better than offering gifts to journalists during their reports. And this, with the aim of getting them to treat the information in their favour. Although formally prohibited by the code of ethics and deontology of Congolese journalists, some journalists find it normal to receive gifts from their sources of information. This unfortunately tarnishes the image of the Congolese audiovisual media.
