Durwood L. Buchheim is Professor of Preaching at Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa. A graduate of Wartburg College and Wartburg Seminary, he has been awarded honorary doctorates from both institutions. He has pursued studies at St. Andrew's University in Scotland. Having served pastorates in Waterloo and Waverly, Iowa, he served as Executive Assistant to the District President and, later, Bishop of the Iowa District, the American Lutheran Church.
