It is not possible to do justice to everything that he did for hidia and the world to bridge the actual or imaginary gulfs that separated man from man, nation from nation, and religion from religion. He stood for all that is good in every religion and tried his best in throught and action to mitigate the differences that divide mankind and make them uselessly antagonistic. Even then he was not prepared to compromise and underrate the truth and the justice to make room for their opposites . He held the highest position of the philosopher-king, which was a dream of Plato.
