What sets this research apart from other literature is the in-depth analysis of production costs and taxation in the production process and the use of the Mato Grosso Input-Output Matrix, built by researchers at the Federal University of Mato Grosso in 2010, to calculate the effective impact of indirect taxes on the final demand for pork.
