The annals of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia have for years past been conspicous in the chronicals of the nation. There is however, one particular in which they have been more or less deficient, viz; in the history of the early Germans who came to this country with the firm intent of founding a home in the new world for themselves and posterity, and who took so large a part in the formation of our great commonwealth.
