Kelley famously claimed to know the secret of turning metal into gold, as well as possessing the Philosopher's Stone itself. This volume contains two essays by Kelly and Arthur Edward Waite on the subject of alchemy, and in particular its ultimate goal: obtaining the philosopher's stone. Contents include: "Biographical Preface", "The Stone of the Philosophers", "Certain Fragments selected from the Letters of Edward Kelly", "The Humid Way, or a Discourse upon the Vegetable Menstrum of Saturn", "The Theatre of Terrestrial Astronomy", etc. Many vintage books such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive.
