The entire blueprint for the seat of government that we take for granted today was debated, written and voted upon between May 25, 1787 and September 17, 1787 surpassing the test of time. It began with the intent to strengthen the Article of Confederation because the struggling government desperately in need of funding to stay afloat The most difficult part was not the vote, but explaining to each State President (Governor) what had transpired and why.
