This classic text offers counsels and consoling thoughts, giving a window into the Catholic spirituality of the early 17th-century. These consoling thoughts are drawn from his entire corpus of writings, and is the work of Fr. Pere Huguet (1812-1884). This text was published under the title: "The consoling thoughts of St. Francis de Sales: gathered from his writings, and arranged in order, Dublin: M.H. Gill and Son 1892." To this text have been added illustrations both of the saint and of the Biblical figures that he refers to.
