Don Cusic is the Curb Professor of Music Industry History at Belmont University in Nashville, TN. He is the author of 26 books, including biographies of Roger Miller, Eddy Arnold and Gene Autry. He is also the author of Elvis and Nashville, James Weldon Johnson: Songwriter, edited the lyric collections of Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson and has written two novels. As a songwriter, he has had songs recorded by Bobby Bare, Ray Stevens, Jim Ed Brown, Chris LeDoux, Lynn Morris and others. He has produced albums on Bobby Bare, Jim Ed Brown and (with Mike Curb) Melinda Doolittle.
