The results of 30 years of research by members of the Samá Group of the Speleological Society of Cuba dedicated to the study of bats found in the Guamuhaya Mountains are presented. To fill the existing gap analysis in this important region in the south-central part of the island of Cuba and to know the existing chiropteran assemblages have been the objectives to achieve. In order to achieve these objectives, a sampling effort of 28,350 m/h was made during 100 nights, 68 of them with captures. A total of 600 h of sampling were invested in 30 stations located in 10 localities, in rainy and dry weather; 1 698 captures were made. In total, 20 of the 26 species of living bats present in the country were recorded.
