The question the unbeliever should ask is, "What must I do to be saved?" However ..... the believer should ask, "What did God have to do in order to save me?" This book deals mainly with the second question. However, we do not need to know and understand all these things in order to be saved. God saves the sinner purely on the basis of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ's sacrifice for sin and His resurrection. But surely a desire to understand and know in part how it works must surely follow. God's Plan of Salvation is made up of a number of parts, each one being necessary to the success of the whole. Moreover, if any one of the parts is absent or fails, then the whole scheme fails. It is this teaching that underlies what is presented here. However, it must be said that no matter how much we may come to know and understand how God's wonderful salvation works, we will never fully know it all, never completely understand it all, and will never be able to answer all questions. Moreover, there comes a time when all the studying and analyzing must stop, and we simply must bow in submission and adoration and appreciation before our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
