Following an informative historical introduction, Mrs. Whitley has compiled Henry pension lists for 1840 and 1863, will abstracts and indexes to will books covering the periods 1856-1863 and 1879-1902, various abstracts of estates, guardianship records, court orders, deed abstracts and legislative petitions, some early Henry County marriages, and brief sketches of prominent citizens who resided in the civil districts of Henry County. The work concludes with a surname index of several thousand entries.
