Description
Bernard Towtonelli is a newspaper columnist. Bernie pens a memoir about his former Air Force career. When "Dreams Of My Military Daze" is picked up by a New York publisher, Bernie is elated. The elation is short-lived, though, when Eastern Publishing wants to turn the memoir into an action novel featuring composite characters, sex, booze, and lots of blood. Trouble is, Bernie was a career PR hack, and the only danger he faced was from news reporters who butchered the stories he pitched. To ease the tension and heal Bernie's bruised ego, his wife suggest a working road trip to Ghost Mountain Valley, New Mexico. In short order Bernie, Simone, and the family dog named Meriwether Lewis are heading westward in a rented motorhome. By summer's end, Bernie's memoir morphs into a fiction with more twists of the truth than a mountain road on Route 66. SUMMER'S SERENADE is a Tidal Tales Communications publication.
