Social Problems: Societal Crisis, Capitalism, and Democracy is an anthology that offers students a variety of readings on prominent social problems. Dr. Kim MacInnis is professor and chairperson of the Sociology Department at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. She received her Ph.D. in sociology from Northeastern University and her M.A. in sociology from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada. She is a faculty associate for the Sexual Violence Advocacy and Support Center at Bridgewater State University. Dr. MacInnis is recognized for her writings and presentations on topics related to gun violence, mass murder, women's roles, family violence, criminology, feminist theory, social problems, and social theory.
