When a message came in on the Twin Rifles' new telegraph machine two weeks earlier asking for a prisoner to be picked up in Sendero, Marshal Will Carston sent his deputy, Joshua, on the mission. But when Joshua fails to return, Wash Carston must set out to rescue him. When he arrives, Wash finds Joshua locked up in the hoosegow, accused of murdering the prisoner he was sent to pick up as he tried to escape. With problems coming from every corner of Sendero, the only agreeable folks Wash can find are a tough young sharpshooter dying of consumption and a pretty waitress who's just a bit too friendly... As a lynch mob gathers, Wash stands ready to defend his father's deputy and uphold law and order with a blazing six-gun in hand.
