Julian Leonard Street (1879-1947) was an American author. He was a reporter on the New York Mail and Express (later the Evening Mail) in 1899 and had charge of its dramatic department in 1900-01. His writings were characterized by a rather obvious but yet a genuine sense of humour. His works include: My Enemy: The Motor (1908), The Need of Change (1909), Paris a la Carte (1912), Ship-Bored (1912), American Adventures: A Second Trip 'Abroad at Home' (1917), Mysterious Japan (1921), The Country Cousin (with Booth Tarkington) (1921), Rita Coventry (1922), Cross-Sections (1923), Where Paris Dines (1929), Wines (1933) and Men, Machines and Morals (1942).
