Everything from gathering eggs to mucking manure has provided inspiration for this novel set in the 1920's.
Doris and her husband, Art, met in Bible College in Didsbury, Alberta and have pastored rural churches in Alberta, Oregon, Washington and Idaho. They presently reside in Idaho and have four children and nine grandchildren.
