The country is politically unstable and against the backdrop of a coup d'état and domestic upheavals in Banaga and England, Patty and Alan are separated. Their plans to marry are doomed to fail so Patty sets out to overcome all the problems, but can she win Alan back and restore the status quo? Living in Banaga is good, life is easy for expatriates, but for the local domestic staff and at their work it is a very different picture. For them, life is harsh and unfair.
