Sea Lions live in colonies of large numbers and travel in groups. During their lifetime, some of these colonies may change. Some Sea Lions are endangered. The species listed as endangered include the Australian sea lion, New Zealand sea lion and the Galapagos sea lion. In general, the sea lion lives an average of four years. Males grow to be twice the size of females. As they mature, the males develop a sagittal crest which gives them a distinct look.
