Sanskrit Debate: Vasubandhu's 'Vīmśatikā' versus Kumārila's 'Nirālambanavāda' illustrates the rules and regulations of classical Indian debate literature (pramānaśāstra) by introducing new translations of two Sanskrit texts composed in antithesis to each other's tradition of thought and practice.
