Description

Heading home after her delivery from the hospital, Ruthie's family was devastated by a cataclysmis accident - Ruthie was left without a mother, her father turned to drunken excesses, and her cerebral damage would hinder her life throughout. Early life was psychologically devastating as her mental acuity was impaired and her frumpy appearance set her into a class by herself where she was challenged, chastized, and teased relentlessly by others for her appearance and her lack of fit into the social cliques of school. Later, she found The Dude who introduced her to drugs and sexual debauchery. Her abundant endowment had attracted the small-time ne'er do well who used her in every conceivable manner. . . but she had someone who "cared" and for this she was a willing participant. This little "slice of heaven" lasted for Ruthie until The Dude was drafted after which her withdrawl and public display of depression institutionalized her for rehab. Here she met someone who coaxed her, upon her release, to the South Side Gentlemen's Club where she became the headline Go-Go dancer. Her body was ont the conventional display one might seek for such entertainment. . . many came, especially the college students to mock and jeer in crass fashion. Her life was up and down - her pride in her physical endowment and the ability to "strut her stuff" publicly gave her great joy; the taunting and cat-calls lead her to drugs and physical collapse. Before her life was brought to a premature end, she was able to contribute and make others genuinely happy and leave behind a legacy in her name. Ruthie was real . . . the account of her life here has been created but this 400 pound Go-Go girl did dance in Muncie, Indiana.
