Description
TWO BOOKS BY ANNE HOLLEY Born in 1951 I spent my school years in Mortlake Middlesex. Moving to Shepperton with my family at the age of 14.
I worked my apprenticeship as a hairdresser. I have two children, four grandchildren and two great granddaughters. Now my hobbies are walking, dancing and writing ALICE WHERE ARE YOU Alice a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is the narrator of my book. For eighteen months I lived inside her head, hmm. She then went to live with four Border Collies who also have their own speaking voices, with their own very different personalities, again, hmm. She so wanted to be like them but alas this caused many problems. CHRISTMAS IN CUMBRIA 'Now that I've rounded up all the sheep does that mean I am a BORDER COLLIE'. The moans and groans from two humans and four dogs say it all. WHY AM I DOING THIS A selection of five stories about the highs and lows of taking on a challenge to raise money for charity. From dressing three hundred dolls, baring all as a LIFE MODEL, thrown into the Medina River and rescued by a Newfoundland Dog, Abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower and walking down and up the Grand Canyon. ABSEILING DOWN THE SPINNAKER TOWER 'Rosie, please look up and wave with BOTH hands for a photo shoot' CRIKEY!! BLEEP, BLEEP, what a thing to ask me, it was more a grimace than a smile. My arms and hands looked as if I was directing the traffic in Piccadilly Circus.
