This book is a thesis for the end of university studies for a Bachelor's degree in community health and development, option: Community Health, written by Eustache Djumapili Vigoureux. This study focuses on the community-based survival mechanisms of the populations of Bugamba 1 village in Nyiragongo territory, in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Faced with poverty, precarious living conditions and inaccessibility to basic social services, in order to survive, the inhabitants of this post-conflict village have a choice between 3 forms of socio-economic, structural or organizational survival mechanisms.Under the direction of Professor Dr. Mumbere Kikoli Jules and the supervisor of the Optimist Assistant Kipuni, the realization of this study is in line with the graduation of the Bachelor's Degree in Community Health and Development, Community Health Option at the Free University of the Great Lakes Countries (ULPGL).
