Developing countries are suffering from a lot of issues and problems, and the quality of higher education is one of them. Most of the institutes of higher education in Asia and Africa belongs to the bottom of the world ranking due to a lack of quality of education, research, publication, and innovations. The book is an evaluation of the impact of the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (hereafter used as HEQEP) in enhancing the quality of higher education (QHE) in Bangladesh highlighting the review of the status of developing countries. This is an empirical qualitative case study. For doing this research, I have selected three basic objectives and indicators to measure the impact of HEQEP for ensuring the quality of higher education. These three indicators are infrastructure development; professional skill development; and development of curriculum and overall academic results. It has been found from this study that quality of education is a very pressing issue but deteriorating day by day due to lack of adequate skilled teaching staff, student-friendly teaching-learning methods, academic environment, lab facilities, library facilities; updated curriculum&good governance.
