As a small child, I use to dream about what my life would be like as an adult. I dreamed of living in a nice house, having food in the refrigerator, lights, and water. This may sound trivial to some, but for me, these things were (and still are) a big deal. I knew I didn't want to experience hunger pains or eating ketchup sandwiches again because there was no food. I didn't want to experience the lights or water being shut-off, because my Mom couldn't afford to pay the bill. I didn't really realize until I was about 18 years old that those dreams were the blueprint and the start of my life's journey. I was always thinking about how I was going to go to college or get a job. In essence, I was creating a plan of action, and I was determined not to allow anything to stop me from accomplishing my dream. "Purposeful Pathways" is a guide for your life. I want you to see that if I can do it, you can too. Each story is an accurate account of my life - the good and the bad and I pray that it serves to empower and inspire you to do whatever it takes to live your best life!
